The Monterey Company’s Newest Addition

Although its true that Turkitten is quite the superstar in the town of Idyllwild, California, Monterey Company can now boast that Turkitten will be the company’s mascot!  Well the cat mascot that is.  No disrespect intended towards Paloma, who will of course continue to get as much attention as ever. Turkitten has been living at Cafe Aroma, the secondary office for the management of Monterey Company, for the last two years with his brother, Pumpkin.  Last year during the cold snowy months, Paul, as in Paul Stark, decided to take the two kitties in at night, so they would have a warm bed to sleep in, and not spend the night out on the deck of Aroma where it was much too cold.  Then as Spring arrived, the cats went back to their usual routine, keeping the outdoor diners at Aroma happy with their loving purrs and playful antics. This last month, tragedy struck when Pumpkin was hit by a car.  Its a loss that the most of town is still feeling, but none more so then Turkitten, who no longer has his partner in crime to play with and keep him company.  Prompted by this event, the owners of Cafe Aroma felt it was time to look into other homes for Turkitten, and Paul offered.  We are thrilled to have him and he has adjusted fairly quickly, although Paloma is still trying to figure out what this means for her status as top dog. He’s quite a handsome mascot don’t you think?
