It’s amazing how much recognition can improve employee morale and company teamwork. For years, the Monterey Company has been helping employers design employee recognition pins to acknowledge and celebrate their employees’ accomplishments and achievements.
Service pins and employee recognition pins can serve many uses: Commend employees for a job well done; commemorate years in service; celebrate a milestone or award; employee incentives; and recognize the contributions of employees, affiliates, donors, vendors and customers. Employee recognition pins and award lapel pins don’t just acknowledge the employee’s success, they communicate a consistent brand and look to the company’s customers, and shows how a company cares for their staff.
Many of our employee recognition pins and award lapel pins are plated with silver or 24k gold and can have gemstones added at your request. These truly memorable, hand-manufactured custom order pins are ideal for recognizing corporate accomplishments, sales goals and other company milestones. Our professional artists can work with your sketches and ideas or create a design from scratch to ensure your vision becomes reality. Need to recognize volunteers? The Monterey company makes custom volunteer pins and offer discounts to non-profit organizations.
There are several factors to consider when you order a custom designed recognition lapel pin, and we are here to help you every step of the way. Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions about ordering custom recognition and award lapel pins:
Size is an important consideration, and you should think about what size the wearer is expecting before committing to a design. The size of the finished custom pin will determine the amount of information and artwork that can fit on the pin. Remember, the more text you have, the smaller the text will be on the finished employee recognition pin, and if you have a large amount of text, we recommend a lapel pin in a round or oval shape.
Yes, it depends on how you’d like to note the year on the pin. If you want it in raised metal or part of the die, the setup charge is $45 per year. If you want it engraved, then the setup charge is $.40 (40¢) per pin.
Casting the pin in gold or silver means that the entire pin is made from that metal. Silver or gold plating makes the pin look virtually the same as a cast pin, but at a more affordable cost. The same is true for authentic or synthetic gemstones.
The most common fastener for our custom order pins is the post and clutch fastening, which pushes through clothing. If you prefer a fastener that does not pierce clothing, we can provide a magnet for an additional charge.
All of our styles will make beautiful pins, but what’s best for you depends on your project, artwork and budget. We suggest printed pins for an exact reproduction of a logo, which will also lower costs in a custom design. Hard enamel pins cost more, but the result is a heavier, more substantial lapel pin. Choosing an antique or two-tone finish will provide a lapel pin that looks elegant and has a higher perceived value.
