Cloisonné Lapel Pins Gallery
Cloisonne lapel pins are perhaps the most impressive of lapel pins due to the age-old and nearly unchanged process used to create them. Dating back centuries, this process uses a limited color-palette. All coloring is done entirely by hand using a gritty paste. The pins are heated to extremely high temperatures, effectively changing the colored paste to glass. This process has been used for hundreds of years to create ornamental vases and other decorative pieces.
