Embossed Soft Enamel
|
The die struck pin with soft enamel, also known as the embossed soft enamel,
is the currently the most popular type of custom made lapel pin due to its
versatility. It offers brilliant colors, fine raised metal detailing, and
the option of having a smooth or textured finish. Embossed pins are perfect
for almost any occasion from employee recognition to school award programs
to club membership pins.

These high quality pins are completely custom and are made
to order. Everything from the pin shape to the design colors are tailored
for each individual client. We pride ourselves on our creativity and
ability to find the correct look and design for each customer. The production
process of the soft enamel pins makes possible the finest detailing and
accenting. The embossed pins are slightly less expensive than the hard
enamel pins because of the textured finish. Soft enamel pins have a softer,
and less glass-like, finish than the hard enamel pins. Ask a sales rep
whether our reverse die striking method will work for your design.
100% Quality Guarantee
This is a reverse process where your logo is struck down
into raised shiny metal and then colorfilled. It is an interesting change
from a standard raised metal design. Like the traditional raised metal
design look? Ask about a sandblasted background to complement the traditional.
Sandblasting the recessed areas of your design will give them a slightly
matte look that will really make your logo shine! Because we specialize
in both traditional looks and cutting edge designs, we can help you to
find the style and look that's right for you.
Your custom design is initially struck in the solid bronze
base metal leaving the lines of your design raised up and the remaining
background areas lowered (recessed.) Your design is given multi-faceted
detail by the addition of soft enamel coloring into those recessed background
area. The enamel is added entirely by hand using syringes of multiple
sizes The pins are then kiln-baked at 450 degrees Centigrade to seal
the colors. Once this is done, each custom designed pin is painstakingly
hand-polished one-by-one and plated for a very distinguished and finished
look. Our embossed soft enamel pins are plated in either 24k gold or
silver (shiny or antique,) bronze, copper (shiny or antique,) or black
nickel.
We also have a high polish plating option for maximum effect
and detailing. When the enamels are injected into the recessed areas,
they are only filled about 3/4 full. This achieves a dimensional effect
of higher metal walls with your design. We refer to this as a "textured
finish" because the difference between the soft enamel and the metal
design lines can be easily and clearly felt and seen with this style
of pin. The enamels are well protected within the metal walls and can
be left exposed for a 3D effect. The final decision to make is whether
to add an epoxy resin protective dome. The epoxy dome can be added to
create a smooth finish and to protect the rich color of the enamel. The
absence of the epoxy dome will preserve the wonderful textured finsh
that this pin style is known for.
