Please feel free to request pre-production samples as they are a great way to see your product prior to receiving your full order. We listen to your needs: Your design will be thoroughly scrutinized by our art director for accuracy, appeal, and creativity for the style of product you have selected prior to manufacturing. We will also provide you with a proof for your review as well. The Monterey Company, Inc offers a 100% Product Quality Guarantee. We will replace any defective custom-made product we manufacture if the error is made by us, no questions asked! We only require that you submit your written claim of a defective product to us within 15 days of receipt. For purposes of this question, the term “defect” or “defective” means a manufacturing error.
All sales are final.
Due to the custom nature of the products we manufacture, all sales are final. Once an order has been submitted for production, it may not be canceled for any reason.
We will provide you with a quote within 24 hours when you send us a quote request. If you are in a hurry, please feel free to call us and speak to one of our customer service representatives toll-free at 877-290-9290. Large quantities and less-than-minimum quantities will be quoted on an individual basis.
We will supply you with an art proof for your review prior to production. When we produce an image for you (or work with one you have given us), you own the rights to the design and the image. Moreover, if we design a new logo for your company, feel free to use the logo in any way you want—in a brochure, on a website or a T-shirt. We are in the business of selling lapel pins, not graphic design services, so any design that is produced or used for your company will belong to your company from that point forward. Our graphic design services are completely free with the purchase of custom lapel pins or custom coin. However, if you would like to utilize our services, but do not want to purchase a display, the cost is $75.00 per hour. When emailing a graphic, save your file as a jpg, tiff, eps, psd or Corel file. “Vector Graphics” in Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw are preferred if available. This will allow us to manipulate art/lines, color, delete areas etc., without losing the quality of the graphic. All fonts should be converted to paths. If you choose to email us your artwork (using USPS or another carrier service), please understand that unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the return of artwork.
After you receive your proof please let us know if you have any questions. Feel free to request changes to your proof and a new proof will be sent to you for your review. Please check your proof very carefully for spelling errors as well as color and plating options. We use the Pantone (PMS) color matching system. For additional information regarding the Pantone (PMS) color matching system, please visit www.pantone.com. In addition, because all computer monitors and printers do not display colors accurately, you should confirm your color by reviewing a Pantone (PMS) color chart. When you would like to proceed with your order, please email your proof to your customer service representative for your approval. Remember to ask your representative about our pre-production sample program.
Pre Production Samples:
Samples are a great way to make sure your order is exactly the way you envisioned it. We offer this service to anyone upon request. Please feel free to ask us for different options that may be available such as gold or silver plating or different enamel colors. Please add 10 to 12 additional days for the service.
All orders will be acknowledged via email after you approve your artwork and order details. We will send you an order acknowledgment that will include all the charges on your order as well as the shipping method and ship date of your order. Please let us know if you have a special event of which we should be aware, as we may need to consider changing the shipping method on your order to meet certain deadlines.
Production times vary depending on the product we manufacture. Most lapel pin orders can be made in 10 days, while coins and medallions usually take closer to 15 days. Please remember we are located in Idyllwild, California and shipping time will vary from state to state. Expedited ship methods are available upon request
Expedited ship methods include FedEx 3-day, 2-day and overnight. We do not guarantee ship dates as we have no control over our carriers. We do however make all attempts to meet every deadline.
We always appreciate your continued business. Please make sure to let us know if you would like changes made to your repeat order. Please note dies are kept for three years from the time of your last order and do not convey. Repeat orders usually ship within 10 business days.
Customers receiving products from The Monterey Company, Inc. which will be shipped outside of the United States may be subject to additional fees for customs duties or VAT (Value Added Tax) which are levied once a shipment reaches its destination country. These charges are not included in our prices and we do not take responsibility for collecting or paying them. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the customer; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; customers should contact their local customs office for further information. By the same token, if a customer’s shipment is caged in customs, The Monterey Company will assist in whatever way possible to provide additional information needed for customs clearance. Production time is approximately 10 days. We ship orders overseas via FedEx and delivery time will vary. We will supply you with a tracking number to help you follow your package during transit.
We offer free ground shipping for most of our products. Additional shipping charges may apply in some cases including rush and international orders.
We ship our product via FedEx as well USPS. APO deliveries will be made via USPS. Expedited ship methods include FedEx 3-day, 2-day and overnight.
In the case of a delay, you will be notified and we will make sure you are aware of the reason for the delay. Please remember we do not make delivery guarantees but we will make all possible efforts to meet your deadline. In the event of a carrier delay, The Monterey Company will assist in whatever way possible to facilitate a prompt delivery. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays in shipping which are beyond our control, such as inaccurate/undeliverable address information, U.S./Foreign Customs procedures, the misrouting of your package by FedEx or the unavailability of the addressee.
Invoices are sent at the time of shipping. Please feel free to request an invoice at any time.
Our minimum order is usually 100 pieces. We do offer less than minimum quantities for an additional fee. Please inquire with your sales rep.
Payment: All Major Credit Cards, PayPal as well as company checks are accepted. Accounts without approved signed credit application will be on a prepay basis. On first orders, 100% down is required when the order is placed. Completion of credit application does not automatically guarantee credit. Each application is screened and credit references are checked by email before approval is granted. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing.
Past Due Accounts:
A maximum of 60 days is allowed for payment before an account is turned over to our collection agency. A statement marked Final Notice will be placed in collections the following month if payment is not received. Accounts with unpaid balances 30 days after invoice date will be assessed a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) on the unpaid balance. Finance charges are automatically computed and added to accounts at the end of the month, prior to the printing of the statements. Due to the custom nature of the products we manufacture, all sales are final. Once an order has been placed, it may not be canceled for any reason. The Monterey Company, Inc. does not issue refunds, give credits or offer discounts. If one of the products we manufacture is found to be defective, we will gladly replace it.
Our hours of operation are 9 to 5 Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday & Saturday 10:00 to 2:00. If you need a quote outside of our normal business hours, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and put rush quote needed in the subject line and we will get back to you within 24 hours. Each order created is a team effort. We make the ordering of your custom product a smooth process and we look forward to working with you.
