Tips When Producing Custom PVC Labels?
Thickness - PVC labels are thicker than other labels. However, the thickness can be adjusted. The standard thickness is 2.5mm, but we can go as low as 1mm, depending on the design. Ask your customer service rep to adjust for optimal thickness.
Attachment - How are you attaching your PVC labels to your items? The most popular and secure option for attachment is sewing. We add a recessed sewing channel around the border of the PVC patch for clean and easy sewing. We suggest adding 3M adhesive backing to your patch to keep it in place during sewing. Heat application with a heat press is another option.
Color Gradients - Unfortunately, PVC material can only be produced in solid colors. If your design does contain color gradients where the color fades from one shade to another, we suggest UV printing onto the PVC material or switching to a dye-sublimated patch.

Are PVC and silicone labels the same?
No, they are constructed of different materials. Silicone labels are constructed of silicone rubber, and PVC is produced with a polyvinyl chloride material. Although the finished look is very similar between the two label types. We do see silicone more in promotional products and used commonly as hang tags.
What is the difference between PVC and vinyl labels?
These two materials are often mistaken for one another. Vinyl is thin and flat, while PVC is much thicker and uncomparably durable.
What are PVC labels constructed of?
PVC labels are constructed of high-quality polyvinyl chloride material, which is flexible and waterproof.
Are PVC labels TPU labels?
Although similar in some ways, they are constructed of very different materials. Both PVC and TPU care labels and patches are often used in branding and apparel decoration. PVC has more extreme raised and recessed areas, and TPU is flatter. TPU is often used as a heat transfer label. Also, PVC is constructed of polyvinyl chloride rubber, and TPU is thermoplastic polyethylene.
