We Will Plant Ten Trees When You Order With Us
We are committed to planting trees in countries where the wildlife is threatened by deforestation. In order to do our part, the Monterey Company plants 10 trees for every order that is placed with us. We hope to plant trees in six different countries around the globe by hiring local villagers to help. Our current focus is mangrove reforestation because it provides both new habitats for wildlife and also jobs for locals.
By planting trees in deforested areas, locals are able to provide for their families while also helping to improve the surrounding environment. We currently work with the Eden Reforestation Project to plant trees in Madagascar. Madagascar is suffering from 80 percent deforestation, and nearly three-quarters of the species found in Madagascar are only found on the African island. Our goal is to help provide new habitats for these special creatures and prevent their homes from being destroyed.
About The CEO of The Monterey Company Inc.
Paul Stark is the founder and president of the Monterey Company. Paul has many passions—one is running the Monterey Company, and another is saving and protecting marine wildlife. Paul has personally rescued hundred of marine mammals from oil platforms, buoys, and rocky coastlines along California. As a part of the Monterey Company’s sustainability initiatives, Paul and the company do what they can to support marine mammals and conservation projects. “People protect what they love, and protecting our oceans and marine life has been my personal mission—and will continue to be one—for many years to come,” he said.
Wildlife rescues are happening every day, and it’s Paul’s goal to make them even more frequent by drawing attention to the issue. If you’re also interested in helping marine wildlife, read about a fun rescue here.
